Australia-based Shark Shield has brought out "the first electronic shark-deterrent system specifically designed for surfers." It can protect you from shark about 26 feet in diameter by generating an electrical field that the shark senses through receptors in its snout. The shark goes into "muscular spasms" that makes it powerless of assault.
